Volunteers are only useful if they train together before a disaster. Kanakee County Amateur Radio Emergency Service trains at least anually with The Kankakee County Emergency Services and Disaster Agency. (ESDA)
We are sponsored and supported by the Kankakee Area Radio Society which meets the First Tuesday of every month at St Mary's Hospital. Those monthly meetings offer programs for education and skill building in Amateur Radio.
